Landmark Agreement Reached on Funeral Standards

Pearce Funeral Services, Swindon welcome the landmark agreement on 10th May 2024 between The National Association of Funeral Directors and the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (of which we are a member of both organisations) aligning a joint set of standards that are in line with the standards due to be passed by the Scottish Government for regulation in Scotland, in March 2025. 

This is a very proactive agreement by the two associations, aligning standards that were already highly robust. This ensures that the two main associations, that cover 80% of funeral directors nationally, have a unified approach that is recognised as Government Regulation Standard for Scotland. 

This further strengthens the confidence and assurance that families could already rely upon when choosing a funeral director who is a member of an association.
