Professional Bodies and Inspections

The Funeral Industry in England and Wales, is not formally regulated, but there are two major professional associations which funeral directors can join and adhere to their standards.

These associations are the National Association Of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and The Society Of Allied And Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF). 

Pearce Funeral Services are members of both.

The NAFD and SAIF both require members to adhere to strict codes of practice, ensuring dignity, respect for families and their loved ones and the highest of professional standards regarding premise, professional conduct and procedures.

Membership requires regular, rigorous inspections of our premises, procedures and the services we provide to families.
Our inspections have always resulted in both the NAFD and SAIF recognising and commending us on the high standards we maintain in every area of our service to you.

We unequivocally support current calls for full  national and independent regulation of the funeral sector, ensuring these standards are the minimum required of any funeral director that a family entrusts with their loved one.
