Non-Religious Funerals

Non-religious funerals focus on the life of your loved one, their family, friends and connections, the impact they made and how they chose to live. They are a fitting way to say goodbye to a loved one who has lived without religion and can be held in a variety of places including crematoria, cemeteries and woodland burial grounds.

Funeral celebrants who specialise in humanist funerals are experienced in ensuring that a service is fitting for the circumstances and as a way of saying goodbye to your loved one.  We work with a number of excellent celebrants, and can help you choose someone who can help encapsulate your loved one’s personality and life.

The format of a non-religious funeral is at your discretion and can include music, poetry, readings, shared memories or whatever you feel is appropriate.

In some cases family members of friends may conduct part or all of the ceremony. Should that be the case we can be on hand to offer advice and guidance before, during and after the day of the funeral.

Terms and Conditions

We understand how difficult a time it can be to arrange the funeral of a loved one, as well as considering covering the costs.

In recognition of this we will never ask for any type of deposit or ‘upfront fees’ before a funeral service takes place. We allow those using our services the time to arrange your finances, providing a detailed estimate of the funeral cost before the service takes place. This allows you to focus on the funeral ceremony, without a need to pay any deposit or upfront fees.

We will write to the family before the funeral confirming all dates, times and details of the arrangements and include a fully itemised estimate with the confirmations.

We do not require any type of deposit or ‘upfront’ payment. An invoice will be sent 7 days after the funeral.

Please see our pricing for more specific information.

If you have any concerns financially or would need extra time to pay for a funeral, please contact us, as we are always willing to help in any way possible.

Thank you for the excellent service you have given me over the last 5 or 6 weeks. You were a pleasure to deal with both during the planning process when your suggestions were always pertinent and helpful (and we were even able to enjoy a little humour!!) right the way through to the events on the 15th & 16th December when everything was done perfectly – just as we had discussed.

Thank you, John, – your help was much appreciated.

I chose Pearce Funeral Services from the internet yellow pages. From the time I rang to make the enquiry John Pearce could not have been more helpful or sympathetic. My husband’s body needed to be brought from Wales to Swindon for the cremation and this was dealt with dignity and compassion as were the rest of the arrangements.

John Pearce dealt with the cremation with professionalism, dignity and sympathy which impressed family and friends alike. I would have no hesitation in recommending Pearce Funeral Services to anyone who wants the best possible farewell to a loved one.
