SAIF Care Grief Counselling Service

Here at Pearce Funeral Services, we understand that losing a loved one can completely turn your world upside down leaving those of us behind completely lost, bewildered and overwhelmed by grief.

For many people, talking to a close friend or family member isn’t always an option. When grieving, we typically go through a number of different stages of grief, finally hoping to reach a stage of acceptance. For the majority of us, getting to acceptance is not always a straightforward journey so speaking to someone who is trained to listen and to understand the processes and emotions that we are going through can make a real difference.

Pearce Funeral Services are members of SAIF (Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors). As a member of SAIF, we are also part of the SAIF Care network. SAIF Care is a UK-wide bereavement service that offers a free counselling service to family members who are aged 18 or over.

As part of our SAIF membership, our families, should they wish, have access to a free friendly supportive helpline for those of us who are bereaved. The helpline staff are available to offer information advice or just a listening ear. They also have access to supportive information and online webchat. Through SAIF, families can also find recommended one to one counselling services if required*.
